Even today, as attractions have evolved and developed within the Blackpool Tower, visitors are astounded by the remarkable World Famous Attraction’s unarguable wow factor.
Stanley Park
The Grade II-listed park, which opened in 1926, has been voted the best park in the UK for the second time in three years.
A visit to these glorious surroundings will help you understand how Stanley Park beat 364 other parks and green spaces in a public vote to win the accolade and why the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge tweeted their congratulations.
Stretching across 390 breath-taking acres, this oasis of elegance boasts a magical blend of architecture, horticulture and recreation.
Known across the land for its bandstand, boating lake and Italian gardens, this beautiful, tranquil place is a world away from the hustle and bustle of Blackpool seafront.
Open every day between dawn and dusk, the park is split into four zones: the north and western formal gardens; the eastern area lake and woodland area; and the south stretch containing children’s play areas and sports facilities.
More than two million people visit the park every year – make sure you’re one of them!

Don’t miss the Great Promenade Show, where a giant mirror ball reflects the beautifully rejuvenated promenade at South Beach. This stunning stretch features two kilometers of remarkable sculptures and lighting created by some of the country’s top artists and designers, offering a delightful twist on the traditional Blackpool experience that has captivated visitors. Embracing a continental vibe, Blackpool has introduced its own Spanish-style Steps. As part of an £80 million redesign of its sea defences, six new headlands and sculpted spaces have been created, leading you stylishly down to the sea. When in Blackpool, why not embrace this unique charm? North Pier: As the only Blackpool Pier with Grade II listed status, the North Pier is a fantastic starting point for your beach adventure. It features the North Pier Theatre, hosting regular comedy and musical performances, alongside a charming Victorian tea room, a two-tier Venetian Carousel, and an ice cream parlour. Here, you can enjoy classic arcade games, including the iconic penny slots. Keep an eye out for the original Sooty puppet, purchased in 1948 by Harry Corbett, the show's first presenter.
Just a short walk away, you’ll find yourself near the iconic Blackpool Tower. Be sure to stroll up to the Comedy Carpet, showcasing hilarious quotes from some of the most legendary comedians who have graced the stage in Blackpool.
